WHERE DO YOUR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

I am a lifestyle photographer. I offer maternity sessions, in home lifestyle newborn sessions, all types of family sessions, high school senior and couples/engagement sessions. 

It is important for you to know that I am a lifestyle family photographer. I am in my element when I am taking emotive images. Wind in your hair, barefoot in the woods, families showing affection. You get the idea. If perfectly posed images with everyone smiling at the camera are what you are going for, I have highly skilled photographer friends I can refer you to. 

 

If out of the box images showing connection and love are for you, then you're in the right place. 

I do not photograph weddings, however I LOVE love and offer couples and engagement sessions. 

I am located in De Soto, Missouri. Most of my sessions take place at different parks in and around the De Soto area. If my clients have a special location of their own, we use it! I do have a travel fee if location exceeds 20 miles outside of the De Soto, MO city limits.

Life happens. Things come up. Sometimes clients need to cancel or reschedule. I understand! Please try to give me 48 hours notice prior to cancellation. If you feel sick the day of your session, please reschedule. Send me a message and we will find a replacement date that works for you. I do have rain dates available if the weather isn't right. However, we all know Missouri weather can be unpredictable and change quickly, so I typically won't cancel due to rain forecasts until a couple of hours prior to our session time. 

Each of my sessions are scheduled for one hour. However, sometimes my sessions may run shorter or longer than an hour, depending on each session.

Wear what makes you feel like the most beautiful and confident version of yourself. Feel great in a dress? Wear it! Prefer jeans? Do it! 

I do not style my clients or provide a client wardrobe, however I am more than happy to answer any questions or give feedback if you are feeling stuck on what to wear. 

A couple pro tips: Avoid large logos, as they are distracting and typically date a photo. Choose 2-3 colors that compliment one another without being to matchy-matchy. I always recommend Mom find her outfit first, then style the rest of the family around her. 

Want a light, airy ethereal feel? Choose colors such as white, khaki, light grey, pastels. 

Going for bold? Reds, oranges, blues may be what you need.

Boho, natural and organic is your vibe? Choose earthy tones, such as sage, green, tan, floral patterns, grey. 

I understand things happen. If you are running late, no worries, just shoot me a message. Be aware, depending on how late our session begins, some of your session time will be cut short.

Once you receive your gallery, you will be able to print your images directly from your gallery. Easy peasy! 

I currently offer a variety of options when choosing how you'd like to display your images. Including both matte and standard prints, fine art prints (think water color paper), gallery wrap canvases and metal prints. All of which are offered in a variety of sizes. 

WHAT TIME OF DAY ARE YOUR SESSIONS?

I will shoot any time of day, however my favorite times to book are early morning or evening. I love the soft light in the morning and that oh so glowy vibe in the evening. If booking an evening session, you can plan on one hour prior to sunset. 

HOW LONG WILL YOU STORE MY FILES?

I do my best to store all my files indefinitely and in multiple locations, however I do not guarantee it. I will keep a client's online gallery active for 8 weeks after delivery. It is the client's responsibility to download and store images beyond that point. I recommend backing up and storing your images in multiple locations, just to be safe, in the off chance something happens to mine. Once the 8 week gallery delivery period is over, I will archive the gallery and it will no longer be accessible. If you need me to recreate your gallery for you, no problem! I can provide you with a new gallery link for $50.
